Petra Moravek

The founder and principal of the firm, Petra Moravek has been a practicing solicitor since 1997. She originally worked for a medium sized firm in Dandenong for five years in areas such as criminal law, family law, civil litigation and personal injury. She started the firm of Moravek & Associates in Burnside in 2002 and five years later started Lake Street Lawyers in Lake Street, Caroline Springs. The firm moved to a larger office space in 2013 at 242 Caroline Springs Boulevard however retained the name Lake Street Lawyers because of its positive reputation.

Petra now has a special interest in Family Law, Estate Planning, Probates as well as General Practice. She has a sterling reputation in these areas and has done tremendous work for people when they needed it most.

Originally from the Czech Republic, Petra is fluent in the Czech language and can also speak and comprehend Slovakian. She has been attending to the legal needs of people of the Czech community for the last two decades.

She has many years’ experience as a business owner both in Australia and overseas in the Czech Republic where, for a period of four years, she operated a successful business importing Australian wines.


Catherine Farres

Catherine Farres

Catherine graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Laws.  Catherine also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in (Political Science) and an Associate Diploma in Business. Since 2001, Catherine has held various positions in large city law firms as well as small suburban firms, where she had considerable involvement in the running of complex Family Law, Estate Planning and Probate matters.

Having been on the Board of Directors of two Non-Profit Organisations (that assist people with disabilities) for many years, combined with being fluent in the Italian language, Catherine has the ability to communicate and connect with people from many different cultural and religious backgrounds.

She has the ability to find innovative, practical and supportive solutions to assist her clients with empathy to navigate through the many challenging issues that arise in a person’s life and to assist them to move through these difficult periods.   Catherine is approachable, honest and understanding.  She effectively collaborates matters in a timely, emotionally intelligent and flexible way, while seeking the best outcomes possible for her client’s and their diverse needs.

With a passion for communication and helping people, Catherine is excited about her move to Lake Street Lawyers where her experience and professional approach is paramount to the development of strong relationships and cost effective results and, where appropriate, will assertively litigate to further her clients’ cause.


Graham Chambers


Originally from Sydney, Graham graduated from the University of Newcastle with a bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Laws. Graham entered the legal profession in a boutique Family Law firm in Sydney where he gained considerable experience running complex Family Law matters and honing his advocacy skills in Sydney courtrooms. Graham widened his practice areas when he made the move to Melbourne and commenced employment with a large national firm where he undertook advocacy work both Criminal Law and Civil Litigation.

Having decided that he had a preference for strong client relationships and cost-effective results, Graham made the move from the city to the suburbs and settled into his home at Lake Street Lawyers in March 2015. Since moving to Lake Street Lawyers Graham has introduced a Criminal and Traffic Law practice to the firm and continues to deal with complex Family Law matters and all aspects of general practice.

Graham is currently studying a Masters of Applied Law (Family Law) and is always looking for innovative ways to achieve the best results for his clients. Graham has since moved on to work in his own firm but retains a consultancy relationship with our office.
